The Nanowizard II – JPK-Bruker is designed to provide the highest mechanical and thermal stability on inverted optical microscopes, during long-term experiments on samples ranging from single molecules to living cells and tissues. Overall, it is equipped with a Zeiss fluorescence microscope and it allows high-resolution images, force measurements, nanomechanical characterization of biological samples and cell mechanics with excellent reliability and reproducibility over time

The Atomic Force Microscopy BIO provides topographical imaging of biological samples, such as tissues and cells, of a maximum lateral dimension of 100 micrometers x 100 micrometers and maximum height of 10 micrometers. This instrument can act as a nano manipulation tool, enabling controlled modifications of a substrate’s morphology. In biological systems, the Atomic Force Microscopy also offers precise nano stimulation capabilities, allowing targeted interactions with every sample

The Park NX10 Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) features enhanced XY and Z separated scanner performance, with fast Z servo response and improved Z scan straightness for accurate imaging. The XY scanner ensures precise positioning. Another highlight is the low Z detector noise: thanks to a stacked piezo actuator and a strain gauge sensor, the NX10 provides both high precision and low noise level. A superluminescent diode and guided laser path ensure stable, well aligned signal detection

The Raman Spectrometer XploRA Plus is a compact and fully automated micro spectrometer, combining Raman spectroscopy with Atomic Force Microscope for Raman Atomic Force Microscope and Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy. This instrument supports confocal Raman, fluorescence and photoluminescence imaging. The Z20 optical profiling microscope (by ZETA Instruments) adds versatile surface analysis, offering robust 3D metrology with high resolution data and true color imaging

The ROKIT INVIVO 3D printing creates physical objects from digital designs, by layering materials like polymers. Bioprinting, a specialized form, uses bioinks made of living cells and hydrogels to print tissues and organs. Compatible with medicalgrade polymers as well as a variety of bioinks, this innovative technology shows great potential in regenerative medicine, enabling the fabrication of skin, bone, cartilage, and possibly fully functional transplantable organs in the future

The Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope Leica TCS SP2 is characterized by three fluorescence Photomultiplier Tubes detectors and supports 3D imaging, spatially resolved emission, FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) and FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching), plus a transmission Photomultiplier Tubes. This instrument offers eight excitation lines and a motorized 3D stage for larger samples. Compared with the TCS SP8, it is considered an entry level system

The Leica TCS SP8 is built on the DMI8 platform. The instrument includes a PicoQuant Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy module, a Photomultiplier Tubes detector for transmission imaging and five internal detectors, offering advanced confocal and fluorescence imaging capabilities. The detectors are two Photomultiplier Tubes, one hybrid detector and two cooled hybrid detectors; the lasers available allow 8 excitation lines and the microscope table allows motorized motion in 3D

The Leica True Confocal Scanner SP5 II is a fluorescence microscope with confocal detection of both fluorescence and reflected light signals, featuring an optional Stimulated Emission Depletion mode reaching 70 nanometers resolution. The excitation is given by laser lines at 454, 488, 514, 635 nanometers. This instrument enables optical imaging of tissues and cells in fluorescence and reflected light, providing high resolution visualization of different biological samples

The NextSeq 550 (Next Generation Sequencing) is an integrated platform for high throughput genetic analysis and functional genomics, using automated cluster generation and Illumina Sequencing By Synthesis (SBS) chemistry for accurate sequencing of homopolymers. This instrument supports from 20 to 120 Gb on single run, it completes runs in 12 – 30 hours, enables fully automated paired end sequencing, and combines sequencing with microarray scanning

The Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer – Mettler Toledo – is a versatile dynamic mechanical analyzer capable of bending, tension, shear, and compression tests, even in liquid or controlled humidity environments. The rotatable measuring head of this analyzer enables quick setup for standard Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer, static force, and immersion experiments. This instrument also performs thermomechanical analysis to assess expansion, creep, and relaxation effects
